I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
